Refund policy

Damaged or Incorrect Items 
Please inspect your order as soon as you receive it and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item. We will then work to sort this out as quickly as possible for you. 

 

Returns & Exchanges

If you change your mind and would like to return your SHELFIE, or you would like to exchange your SHELFIE for a different colour, or different size, we are happy to make that happen for you. Please be aware though, that there are costs involved in this and as a small company, we are not able to absorb those costs so will unfortunately need to pass them on to you. 

Returns: for straight returns, you have 14-days from the day you receive your item(s) in which to notify us that you would like to return it and to initiate the returns process by emailing us at hello@shelfie.nz.

Your return must meet the conditions outlined below and will be subject to a 5% re-stocking fee. 

You will need to cover the cost of shipping your item(s) back to our workshop in Ōtautahi Christchurch, ensuring it arrives in good condition. If required, we are able to provide you with courier labels. The cost of the return courier (if required) along with the restocking fee will be deducted from your final refund.

Exchanges: if you decide that you would prefer a different colour, or different size you have 14-days from the day you receive your item(s) to notify us that you would like to make an exchange by emailing us at hello@shelfie.nz

You will need to cover the cost for shipping the item(s) you wish to exchange back to our workshop in Ōtautahi Christchurch, ensuring it arrives in good condition. If required, we are able to provide you with courier labels and on charge the cost of them to you. 

You will also need to cover the cost of shipping the replacement item(s) to you. 

Once we receive your request for an exchange, we will email you with details of any additional costs or refunds. 

 

Conditions

to be eligible for a return/exchange, you must:

  • Initiate a return or exchange request by emailing us at hello@shelfie.nz within 14 days of receiving your item(s). If we agree to accept your return or exchange request, you must follow the instructions we email to you on where and how to send your item. Items sent back without first requesting a return or exchange will not be accepted.
  • Cover the cost of shipping your item(s) back to our workshop in Ōtautahi Christchurch. It is your responsibility to ensure they arrive and are in good condition. Using a trackable courier service with insurance is highly recommended.
  • Ensure your item(s) are un-used, in good condition and in their original packaging. 
  • Ensure all accessories are un-used, in good condition and returned with the original item(s).
  • Ensure original packaging is in reasonable condition.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the return has been accepted. If accepted, you’ll be automatically refunded for the item(s) returned less a 5% restocking fee and the cost of any courier labels that we provided for the return shipping. Refunds will be made to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at hello@shelfie.nz.
